The Citong Shaolin Kung-Fu Academy has
been offering expert instruction in Fujian
(Citong) Shaolin Temple martial arts and Yang
style Taiji (Tai Chi) since 1987 throughout the
Chinese Cultural Schools of St. Louis and
Chesterfield, MO. As a leader in the martial
arts community, we have been invited year
after year to perform Chinese martial arts in
St. Louis’ most talked about events; the
St. Louis Chinese Cultural Days, the St. Louis
Worlds Fair, the St. Louis International Festival, the St. Louis Festival of Nations,
the World Taiji Day, and Numerous Chinese New Year Celebrations throughout the city,
county and beyond.
In February of 2003, Ron Davenport (Chief Instructor and four time US National Chinese
Martial Arts Champion 2006) opened the Citong Shaolin Kung Fu Academy of
Southern Illinois, located at 301 E. Broadway, Alton, IL. Since the opening of the Alton
location, we have had the great fortune of working with members of the various
communities; Alton, Godfrey, Bethalto, Woodriver, Brighton, Belleville, Edwardsville,
Glen Carbon, Holiday Shores and the St. Louis County.
We are centrally located in Greater Alton – River Bend area. We are a full-time Martial
Arts school with expert instructors. Thus, making our school the area’s only choice for
Authentic Chinese Martial Arts training.
